Simply angle the backing edge against a hard metal to expose more flap material. Stiff backing construction paired with a compacted 4 degree flap angle make grinding easier, quiter and with less vibration. |
| Description: | Active grinding agent provides cool cutting with light pressure. trimmable Z3 flap disc backing easily trims down to expose flaps for extended working life. The trimmable backing allows for longer production times since wheels aren't changed as often. Premium Zirconia Alumina grain with a poly/cotton heat treated backing. The poly/cotton combination provides low stretch and strength for the high Zirconia concentration that Z3 contains. 20% more material than regular Z3 flap discs. |
| Comments: | Contaminate-free. To trim down the backing simply grind the backing edge against a metal edge until the flaps are exposed to the level needed. Flaps are compressed at a 4 degree angle for flap edge strengh. Best used at 5°–20° angle. |
